Lucy Sugerman is an artist and songwriter from Canberra, ACT, Australia. She writes music in the alt-pop/alt-folk realm. Here is an excerpt from her bio she sends to 'industry people' (whatever that means):
Lucy Sugerman is not afraid to tell it like it is. Her sixth sense for storytelling coupled with a gift for crafting assured melodic hooks is a recipe for sweet alt-pop that can still pack a punch. With two independently released EPs under her belt, the 22 year old self-managed artist possesses an impressive work ethic and dedication to staying true to herself and her art - letting people into her world through relatable tales of her struggles and triumphs in romance and growing up, cathartically capturing the spirit in learning from your own experiences.

She personally has a preference for BandCamp.
(It is the best way to support your favourite artists meaningfully!).
Lucy has a lot of music on the way, but as an independent artist that costs money. If you would like to hear exclusive things, she also recommends her Patreon as a great way to hear secret new music.

Lucy resents that question but it is very frequently asked. Outside of her work as an artist, Lucy writes songs for other people, works in the music-advocacy and research space, and studies a non-music related degree at University part-time. She also presents a few episodes of TOPS on triple j Unearthed a month.
